L'histoire se déroule dans un monde divisé entre humains et katawara.Tama, une jeune katawara, aime les humains et souhaite les protéger en dépit de leurs différences. Elle est en cela le parfait opposé de son frère, Jinka, avec lequel elle voyage.Peu après avoir rencontré Shinsuke, un guerrier qui souhaite devenir plus fort, le groupe découvre un complot qui a pour objectif de changer les humains en monstres ! Mais Tama n'a pas l'intention de rester les bras croisés.
